Mission
The South East High School counseling department strives to provide a data-driven comprehensive program that addresses the needs and interests of all students, as it relates to their academic, social-emotional, and college/career development. In collaboration with educational partners, school counselors advocate for equity and equal access for all students to ensure they graduate with the attitudes, knowledge, and skills to become college and career ready.
Vision
The vision for South East High School graduates is for all students to achieve academic success, social emotional growth, and attain a fulfilling career aligned with their interests and abilities. Students will be empowered to thrive as effective problem solvers, responsible citizens, resilient individuals and productive contributors to our society.
Requesting Transcripts
Official Transcripts are available upon request IN PERSON ONLY at our Counseling Office from 8:00 AM - 4:30PM.
ID is required.
Transcript's available free of charge.
Institutions may send a fax request to: (323)568-3447.
Be aware that we do not give out electronic copies of transcripts to institutions or alumni.

Work Permit Application Requirements
1. Student must have a 2.0 GPA or better.
2. Student must have a 96% Attendance Rate or better.
3. Student must not have more than 3 Tardies.
4. Student must not have any "U"s in Cooperation or Work Habits.
5. Student must not have any discipline issues.
Students must fill out necessary information, have the prospective employer complete the form, then turn in permit to their academic counselor to be signed.
*Work Permits are available in the Counseling Office.
Counselor Support
Since the first day of school, our counselors have been supporting students with their schedules, making sure all class graduation requirements are being met. South East High School is campus with more than 2,000 students, balancing classes for this many students is no easy feat, yet our dedicated team puts in their best effort each day and have a clear vision to see every student graduate.
